Our products are made for every day (or every second day) usage – to give you the opportunity to be naturally healthy tanned. The Boë products are quick drying, without allergens and easy to apply.

Your tan should never overpower your look, you want it to be your background colour. Boë gives you a natural, subtle-looking, glowing skin, that makes you look well and healthy. With the following small tricks it will smoothly become an “easy daily grooming routine”.

No.1 is made to be used daily – mixed with your daily moisturizer. Draw a little circle with your moisturizer on top of your hand or in your palm, add your drops – blend and just apply as normal. Start with your face (you can use your favorite face moisturizing cream), then arms/shoulders, neck and throat – and do this in one-two sessions. Then do the same for the back – and then your legs. Before you get to learn how efficiently your skin is reacting, we recommend 2-3 drops per bodypart. Always make sure you have blended the product evenly on your skin. Wash your hands thoroughly and use a cotton pad or a little part of your towel or bath cloth to clean up your eye brows and other parts, where the product could have gathered – or where you prefer a slightly lighter tan.

No.3 is our softest product – it works like a gradual tanner, where you build up your tan. You use it as you would use your favourite moisturiser. Always make sure you have blended the product evenly on your skin. Wash your hands thoroughly and use a cotton pad or a little part of your towel to clean up your eye brows and other parts, where the product could have gathered.

People don’t sit in the sun anymore and they don’t want to expose themselves to dangerous rays. Fake tan now looks real, it looks natural.

Always wash your hands after tanning and be careful between the fingers.

Sometimes easier said than done, but trust us, always try to tan in a cool area – not a hot steamy bathroom, as perspiration can cause your tan to run and patch. If the temperature continues to soar after you’ve tanned, lightly dust mineral powder under arms and on the backs of knees to remove any excess moisture.

Our products have been developed to deliver a natural golden glow, with an even, flawless finish that work alongside your own skin tone, taking you a few shades darker than your natural colouring. Always make sure, that you blend the Boë products evenly over the skin.

When it comes to tan removal, a good tip is to use a steam room, like at a gym. Sit in there for 20 minutes and then rub your skin with a towel and it takes off the tan. It’s a good detox. Then you can reapply. Otherwise makeup wipes are great option, just rub them over the affected areas. Another strategy is to get lemon or lime juice, put it on a flannel, microwave it for a minute and rub it over the skin.

The face always fades more quickly than your body because many wash it more regularly, skin is thinner, skin is more dry and because of the use of  makeup remover.

The Boë products prevent this, since the products are made to be used on a daily basis. For a top-up, mix the Tan Drops in with your SPF to protect your skin at the same time.

That said; here you have some tips for the ideal tanning process.

Moisturize dry areas on your body such as hands, feet, knees, ankles and elbows prior to application, if you have very dry skin.

Apply and massage Boë in sweeping circular movements from head to toe one body part at a time, leaving hands, elbows and feet til last.

Wipe where you personally should not get too much tan – e.g. your eyebrows, jaws, hairline, above the upper lip, knuckles, knees, ankles, elbows, sides of feet or where you would like a slightly lighter tan with your towel, a cotton pad or a slightly damp wash cloth. Your tan will begin to develop immediately, and absorbs and dries instantly, you don’t have to wait for it to dry.

Wash your hands thoroughly immediately after you have applied Boë.

Only use a little bit of Boë on the back of your hand and then the top of each finger in turn, taking care to avoid the nail bed and cuticles. For a perfect finish wipe knuckles and wash your hands thoroughly.

Starting at the shoulder, tan your arm, the edge of your shoulder, and as far around the back of your shoulder as you can reach. Tan the rest of the arm, blending around the wrist to avoid the heel of the hand.

Start at the front of the ankle and apply in large elongated circular movements. Ensure you tan the back of the leg as well as the front! When blending around the ankle avoid the very toughest skin, ensuring that you have blended where the leg meets the ankle. Wipe any excess tan from knees and ankles for a natural finish.

We recommend you to start slowly and build up the tan gradually, meaning use a bit less in the beginning. You will then get an even tan where you are in control. Always make sure you have blended the product evenly on your skin and wash your hands thoroughly, eventually use a cotton pad or a little part of your towel or bath cloth to clean up your eye brows and other parts, where the product could have gathered – or where you prefer a slightly lighter tan. Tan and go!

No.2 is a very quick drying spray mist, that is highly efficient, despite the delicate clear watery look. To apply (every or every second day) you simply spray the tan water directly on your body one body part at a time – and then distribute evenly with your hands.

You will feel, that Boë No.2 adds a kind of mist quality to your skin. Always make sure you have blended the product evenly on your skin. Wash your hands thoroughly and use a cotton pad or a little part of your towel or bath cloth to clean up your eye brows and other parts, where the product could have gathered or you would like a slightly lighter tan. Boë No.2 is very efficient and easy to use – so don’t underestimate the efficiency – despite the looks of translucent water. To avoid too much in some parts, be thorough, especially the first times. If you have bought a Boë set, you can start with No.1 or No.3 for a few days before you start using No.2.

Boë No.4 builds up your skins flexibility, it makes your skin softer – and makes sunny days stress free. You have a tan when you arrive, your skin is prepared for sun exposure and the evening grooming routine with No.4 makes your skin smooth, soft and youthful. Use Boë No.4 as an ordinary self tan product – besides – use it prior days, where you know, that you will be in the sun. Continue to use it after your vacation until the bottle is empty – it makes your tan and your summer feeling last longer. We love this product and always use it for sunny weekends or vacations.

Tan the days before you go on holiday and then you arrive glowing.

Ideal use boë no.4, that is unique pre- and after-sun combined self tan lotion,  that make you tan faster, deeper and longer. If you don’t go for no.4 while you’re there, use an after-sun product (like you would for a real tan) to make the glow last longer. Use a waterproof SPF to protect and seal in your tan and if you want to reapply while you’re away, exfoliate the old tan off first.

Apply the tan with both hands to make it quicker and more even – and always – wash your hands afterwards.

For luminous limbs, create your own Tailor-made body highlighter – simply mix 4 x The Tan Drops per body part with an illuminating body cream or body make up. This trick will dial up your own ‘lit from within’ glow, regularly seen on the catwalk or red carpet. Apply in long sweeping movements along the shins, arms and across the décolleté for a glorious radiance.

We suggest trying a patch test on skin prior to use. To avoid darkening these areas cover your dark spots in Vaseline to create a barrier when applying your tan. Or use your towel, a cotton pad or washing cloth to remove the self tanner from particular these spots when you are doing the ‘washing hands etc routine’.

Yes, the boë self tan is safe to use on your face. Especially the Boë No.1 Tan drops combined with your favourite face moisturizer are perfect for the daily face routine.

To avoid any unwanted tan build up in dry areas like hands, elbows, knees, ankle and feet we recommend using a Moisturising Lotion immediately prior to applying your Boë self tan on these areas. This will ensure the tan doesn’t stick to dry skin and looks even all over.

You do not need a mitt to apply the Boë, some prefer using a Tanning Mitt  – we generally think, that using the hands is the best – when you remember to wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

For perfect ‘beach feet’, apply your tan to the tops of your feet blending halfway down the sides. Then wipe away any tan lines with a dry cloth to give a totally natural finish. Always work away from the nail bed, back up the foot and blend at the ankle.

Make sure to blend down to the décolletage when applying to face and neck. Wipe upper lip and eyebrows with your towel, cotton pad or wash cloth to ensure they are not over tanned.

The Boë tan scent is pure and natural. Due to the natural DHA in the product and the Boë routine, the Boë tan doesn’t have that standard fake tan smell that comes with most self tanning products.
